March is Earth and Space Month at KidsPlay!

March’s Story Walk: Pete the Cate: Out of this World by James Dean


KidsPlay STEM Club
Thursdays in March
5 – 6 pm

Join Miss Donna and KidsPlay staff Thursday afternoons in March for fun STEM-inspired experiments.

Explore Earth science and lunar facts through engaging and interactive activities!

STEM Club is broken down into two sessions: Explorers and Innovators.
Explorers STEM Club, starting at 5:00 pm, is intended for children ages 5-6.
Innovators STEM Club, starting at 5:30 pm, is intended for children ages 7-10.

Sessions last 30 min. Program price ($40 for Non-member Child/$20 for Member Child) includes registration to all 4 afterschool STEM Club sessions and Museum admission.

*This is not a drop-off program. Parents are required to stay in the building throughout the program.

Cuentos con Carmen: English/Spanish Story Time
Wednesdays in March
10:30 am

Enjoy stories read in English and Spanish by talented KidsPlay Board Member & Volunteer Carmen! Build ready-to-read skills in both languages.

Carmen will be at the Museum to read every Wednesday in March (3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29) at 10:30 am.

Program included with admission price.


Read Aloud with Effie: NASA Coders
Thursday, March 9
6 pm

Effie is back at KidsPlay for Earth & Space Month!

Learn about the NASA coders, Mary Jackson and Katherine Johnson, the real-life “human computers” that inspired the movie Hidden Figures. These brave and adventurous women went above and beyond to get NASA and the U.S. into space and back down again! Hear their stories and others during this month’s Read Aloud with Effie!

Included with Museum admission.

Sensory Friendly Playtime
Friday, March 10 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Sunday, March 26 from 9 – 10 am

Inclusive Playtime provides a sensory-friendly and judgment-free environment for play and learning for children with disabilities, on the autism spectrum, and/or sensory-processing disorders and their families.

Practice real-life skills in our Town Center in a safe and inclusive space!
Admission is $2 per person.
