KidsPlay sets the perfect stage for a fun and memorable experience for your child. The Museum’s indoor party venue offers a dedicated room for birthday festivities along with hours of play in our interactive exhibits to provide a fun and easy way to celebrate your child’s special day.

What Does Your Party Rental Include?

  • Use of the Museum galleries and program room for 2 hours for up to 30 people.
  • Additional guests are $10 each up to 50 people maximum.
  • 30 min setup time prior to the start of your event.
  • Starting at $325 for 2 hours. Members enjoy a $25 discount.

Parties and Rentals FAQs

Is there a deposit required?

Payment for your party is due in full at the time of booking. Any balance for additional guests is due the day of your visit. Please contact group sales for other payment arrangements.

What if I have to cancel my party?

Parties can be rescheduled to a new date based on availability (additional costs may apply due to differences in package prices). Parties may be canceled up to 48 hours in advance with a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. Parties that are canceled less than 48 hours in advance are issued a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.

How early can I arrive for my party?

  • Hosts may arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the party to set up decorations.

Can I bring my own decorations?

The party room will be set with enough child-size tables and chairs for the headcount you provide. You may bring any decorations that you would like. Please note: We reserve the right to prohibit certain decorations for fire, safety, and environmental concerns. No piñatas are allowed, and you may only use painters tape to attach decorations to the walls. Nothing may be hung from the ceiling.

How many guests can I have?

Party packages include 30 guests (adults and children), unless they are under the age of 1, including the host family and the birthday child. Additional people are $10 per person. There will be Museum staff present, however parental supervision is required. Drop-offs are not allowed.

Can I bring my own food or have food delivered?

Outside food and drink is allowed but is restricted to the program room. There are limited food storage facilities available and is on a first come first served basis. Warmers, crock pots, microwaves, and Sternos are not permitted. Please note: All food must be consumed and kept in your designated party room. Food & beverages are not allowed on the museum floor.

Can I bring alcoholic beverages?

Because of the nature of our organization and audience, Alcohol is prohibited in the Museum or on the premises unless expressly authorized by the Museum Director. Alcohol is never permitted during children’s events or when the Museum is open to the public. The Museum Director will only approve serving alcoholic beverages in specific circumstances if the host meets specific requirements. Please contact the Museum for more information.
