KidsPlay 2022 Impact Report
Children are natural explorers.
At KidsPlay Children’s Museum, we work to harness that inherent curiosity and turn it into a lifelong love of learning for the next generation of doers, thinkers, and community members.
We are pleased to share our 2022 Impact Report and demonstrate the importance of your support. Because of YOU, KidsPlay has:
- created an environment where children can explore, experiment, and make their own choices, fostering a sense of ownership over their educational experiences.
- introduced families to resources that help them raise children who can think critically, solve problems, and explore their creative potential.
- presented programs that encourage hands-on learning and engage children with other local community organizations.
- encouraged children to become thoughtful, active contributors to their communities.
We are currently wrapping up a record year and look forward to sharing our 2023 impact with you soon. Over 13,000 visitors attended the Museum this summer, bringing the total number playful learning-packed visits to over 53,000 in the past 12 months!
The much-anticipated opening of KidsPlay’s new gallery promises to make 2024 an exciting year. This major expansion will amplify the Museum’s role in Torrington’s downtown redevelopment by fostering educational growth, improving quality of life, and stimulating the local economy through tourism.
