Thank You, Community Banks! – July’s Corporate Partners of the Month
Northwest Connecticut is fortunate to have community banks committed to sustaining and improving the area through a combination of strategic philanthropic investment and employee volunteerism. In the past, our community banks have made everything from exhibits and programming to daily operations possible at KidsPlay.
This month, we are especially grateful to Northwest Community Bank, Thomaston Savings Bank, Torrington Savings Bank, and Union Savings Bank for sponsoring a performance at the Warner Theatre by Lyn Dillies, Master Illusionist, to benefit KidsPlay Children’s Museum on July 8. You can learn more about this exciting event here.
About Northwest Community Bank
In 1996, two Winsted banks with a history of service to the town, Winsted Savings Bank and Mechanics Savings Bank, merged to create Northwest Community Bank. Headquartered in Winsted, now Northwest Community Bank has branches in Avon, Granby, New Hartford, Simsbury and Torrington—as well as a nationally recognized academic branch in Northwestern Regional School No. 7 High School.
Individuals and businesses in Northwest Connecticut have relied on Thomaston Savings Bank since 1874. Through eras of tumultuous bank mergers, conversions and takeovers happening all around us, Thomaston has remained an independent mutual savings bank by being financially responsible and steadfast in our commitment to help this area grow.
Torrington Savings Bank is a mutual bank that has been serving the Torrington area since 1868. Their commitment to their customers, combined with their use of cutting-edge banking technology, make for a safe, secure, and convenient banking experience. Torrington Savings Bank gives back to the local community through a charitable foundation and through employee volunteerism.
Union Savings Bank is a local community bank dedicated to excellent service for customers and communities. Established in 1866 and headquartered in Danbury, Conn., Union Savings Bank is a $3.0 billion mutual bank dedicated to being the bank of choice.
KidsPlay’s Corporate Partners are civic-minded businesses whose gifts to the Museum help us to offer more children and families the benefits of purposeful play.
