“Safe & Sustainable: Building a Family Friendly Space” – KidsPlay’s 2023 Neighborhood Assistance Act Project

KidsPlay is pleased to announce its approved participation in the State of Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) tax credit program for 2023!

The Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act Program provides a strategic opportunity for certain Connecticut businesses to lend critical support to community organizations. This program allows businesses to apply for a tax credit equal to 100% of funds invested in an approved NAA energy conservation project.

KidsPlay is requesting support for this year’s proposed NAA project, “Safe & Sustainable: Building a Family Friendly Space.” This project is a continuation of KidsPlay’s past successful NAA projects, which have made the Museum more energy efficient and sustainable through the support of Connecticut businesses.

This new effort will fund:

  • installing energy-efficient lighting for 57 Main Street
  • updating the roof of 61 Main Street
  • replacing the doors and windows of 61 Main Street
  • improving insulation to reduce heating costs.

Our NAA partners are helping KidsPlay to be a sustainable anchor in downtown Torrington, serving children and families for generations to come!
