“The Scoop”: News from KidsPlay Children’s Museum, Winter 2024/2025

KidsPlay’s Winter 2024-25 donor newsletter is here!

In this newsletter, it’s all about creativity! From mad science in the Maker Space to a homeschooling parent’s creative curriculum, KidsPlay visitors are using their imaginations to investigate and explore the world around them.

The Maker Space

In the Maker Space, the only limit on what you can create is what you can imagine! With the help of staff facilitators, children transform everyday objects like water bottles and cardboard tubes into castles, caterpillars, spaceships, and more.

Thanks to a grant from the Neag Foundation, we look forward to expanding and improving the art and STEM offerings of this exhibit.

Staff, Visitors, Supporters, and Other Steadfast Friends

From Jane and Stu Grodin helping to paint KidsPlay’s first gallery to Deb Kellogg’s work in the Maker Space, KidsPlay’s community has never been afraid to break the mold. Homeschooling parents like Nicole use KidsPlay’s exhibits in her lessons for her children, and our Steadfast Friend donors skip the traditional annual donation in favor of monthly recurring gifts that provide KidsPlay with the steady support it needs to encourage creativity throughout the year.

New Board Members, Coming Soon!

There’s exciting news at KidsPlay! This January, we are pleased to welcome two new board members, Kristen Fern and Lori Heath.
