Welcome to The Hub@KidsPlay!  In collaboration with the Torrington Public Schools, The Hub@KidsPlay fosters a collective impact to support the developmental needs of children and the well-being of families.

About The Hub@KidsPlay

The Hub@KidsPlay is a dedicated space within the museum designed to bring together community resources, creating a central point for families to access vital services and support. This initiative includes:

  • Community Family Learning Center Resource Library (CFLC): A collaborative effort with the Torrington Public Schools, offering a rich collection of books, educational materials, and resources tailored for families and young children.
  • Program Room: A versatile space for hosting educational workshops, family activities, and community events that promote learning and development.
  • Coming soon the Future Family-Friendly Cafe: An upcoming addition that will provide a comfortable space for families to gather and connect.

The Torrington Community Family Learning Center Resource Library

The CFLC Resource Library is a grant-funded family & community outreach resource for parents, caregivers, & educators. The CFLC Resource Library is a community partnership between KidsPlay Children’s Museum and Torrington Public Schools.

Access the CFLC Online!

The CFLC offers educational resources to parents/caregivers, educators, and providers. With a simple application, patrons can access quality children’s literature, parenting books, educational kits & games, DVDs, CDs and other educational resources including on-line e-books and audio books. Educational programming and connection to local community resources and schools is also offered.

Enjoying time at the The Torrington Community Family Learning Center Resource Library (CFLC)

ACCESS
Located in the heart of the Cultural District, patrons can access the library through the main entrance of KidsPlay Children’s Museum at 61 Main Street.

RETURNS
CFLC Library materials can be returned anytime. An outdoor CFLC book drop is provided by the back door of KidsPlay and available 24 hours a day. There is also a book drop in between the two front doors. Items can also be dropped off at KidsPlay front desk during KidsPlay open hours.

Hours are subject to change so please check our calendar for changes in the schedule before visiting the library. The CFLC follows the Torrington Public School weather related school early dismissals, delays, and school closures.

The Hub@KidsPlay is a trusted resource that contributes to positive outcomes for children, builds a sense of community, and contributes to a more equitable landscape in Northwest Connecticut.
