Announcement: Little House on The Prairie Benefit Event
KidsPlay Children’s Museum is pleased to announce that Susan Sukman McCray, casting director for the television series ‘Little House on the Prairie,’ has teamed up with Little House fan event producer, Jack Bishop, to reunite many Little House cast members to celebrate the series’ 50th Anniversary at the Grand Oak Villa in Watertown, CT. In addition to being a unique experience for fans, the event will raise funds and awareness for KidsPlay where Ms. McCray serves as an Advocate.
McCray, a widely known philanthropist and a former regent for the University of Hartford has developed a deep appreciation for KidsPlay’s work. She understands the importance of providing children with spaces designated for fostering imagination and creativity. She is currently working with the production company and cast to develop an exhibit for KidsPlay inspired by the set of the television series. The exhibit will give children a glimpse of life in the late 19th century, highlighting themes that were shared in the series, including the importance of community, hard work, overcoming adversity, and simplicity, as well as the value of learning.
While we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to share KidsPlay’s work with fans of the television series ‘Little House on the Prairie,’ we must clarify that the event is an independent initiative organized by Jack Bishop, a producer of Little House cast events.
