Maker Challenge #16
Children love stories, and children love to make things. This week's Maker Challenge combines these two fun activities into one great project!
Do you ever find yourself thinking of ways a story might change as you are reading it? Choose a favorite story to read to your child. As you read, ask your child to imagine how the story might have a different ending, or how one of the characters might have made different choices along the way. Perhaps the characters might have had help at different points - ask your child how that would have affected the rest of the story.
When the story is over, ask your child to make something that would help the characters in the story. S/he might make a strong house for the three little pigs, a fourth bed for Goldilocks to sleep in, or a ladder to help Rapunzel escape!
