Maker Challenge #15
They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think there is more to it than that. Each of us sees the world and the objects in it in different ways, and this week's challenge brings this uniqueness to light.
Give your child a plastic or a paper container, the larger, the better. Point out the different shapes it contains. Talk about the colors, the corners, and the size. Ask your child to imagine what else it could be. Do its features provide any clues? Without providing any ideas, ask your child to make the container into something else. It will be interesting to see how and if s/he sees something that you never would have thought of!
Patty and Lois would love to see the new version of the container and hear about the experience of making it! Ask your child to bring it to this week's Show & Tell on Thursday morning at 9:00. Register here.
