“Once upon a time…” Those are magical words. What follows them could be fairies and trolls, or princesses and frogs, or perhaps magicians and wizards. You just know that whatever it is will challenge your imagination - all while tickling your funny bone or sending chills up your spine! While fairy tales might be fantastical in many ways, they also contain important lessons for children about fairness, courage, risk-taking, relationships, justice, love, and life.
You’ll find some interesting thoughts to share with your children about fairy tales in Can Fairy Tales Be True.
Let’s take a fairy tale journey together throughout the month of October at KidsPlay!
