Take apart, what's inside?

KidsPlay is constructing and deconstructing in January. What better way to learn how things work than by taking them apart and seeing what's inside.

Author Study: Jan Brett

As a child Jan Brett spent hours reading and drawing with hopes of one day becoming an illustrator... she now has over forty million books in print! Her best-known titles include The Mitten, The Hat, and Gingerbread Baby. This month come and explore Jan Brett's fun, colorful and detailed stories of both animal and human culture ranging from Scandinavian to African! Share stories with your child, guided by the rich, intricate border illustrations on almost every page. They are engaging for young children and this is why we are excited to display her story for our visitors.

Storywalk: The Mitten - Children can watch page by page to discover what animals can fit inside the mitten.
