Prescription for Play!

Prescription for Play!

Play is incredibly important for your child’s healthy development, both at home and at school!

The Association of Children's Museums, in collaboration with Boston Children's Museum, presented a free webinar, “Prescription for Play: What Science Says About the Importance of Play for Children and Families." It was recorded on Monday, November 19 and is now available for viewing. Register below and stream it at your convenience.

The American Academy of Pediatricians recently released new guidelines to empower pediatricians to write a “prescription for play” to every family they see. View this chat with experts on play, Dr. Michael Yogman and Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, with an introduction from BCM’s Carole Charnow. Hear more about AAP’s recommendations and how families and communities are already using them.
