Author Study: Joseph Bruchac
For over thirty years Joseph Bruchac has been creating poetry, short stories, novels, anthologies, and music that reflect his Native American heritage and traditions. Caregivers will appreciate his art of storytelling and sharing his lyrical prose with their children. We are excited to learn more about him and to share his stories this October.

Meet Henry the Bunny with Meg Tanner, an educator from the Litchfield County 4-H, UConn Cooperative Extension. Learn about mammals and habitats. Then, let’s pretend we are rabbits. Plus stories about real and pretend rabbits.
Real and Pretend: Native American Storytelling

Join us as we welcome Darlene Kascak from the Institute for American Indian Studies to KidsPlay for a Native American storytelling experience.
Darlene will share Native stories to help us explore real and pretend animals. Rabbits, owls, and ducks will weave themselves throughout her stories and into your imaginations.
