Real and Pretend: Storytelling with the Institute for American Indian Studies

October 11, 2017 | 10:30 am - 11:15 am

Join us as we welcome Darlene Kascak from the Institute for American Indian Studies to KidsPlay for a Native American storytelling experience.

Darlene will share Native stories to help us explore real and pretend animals. Rabbits, owls, and ducks will weave themselves throughout her stories and into your imaginations. An occasional character may even flutter by as bats do or leap through the air like deer glide through the forest!

In Native cultures, oral storytelling teaches, guides, and entertains. Enjoy the lessons and magic of these traditional stories as told by an experienced Native American storyteller, Darlene Kascak.

This storytelling program is included in the price of admission. Come and enjoy a master storyteller!

If you can’t join us on Oct 11, This storytelling program will also be held on Saturday, October 21 @ 11 am.
