Story and More!

August 24, 2017 | 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Stories about sleep such as Ira Sleeps Over and The Bed Book.  Plus, design a perfect bed and paint a nightmare.

Parents and children are invited by the facilitator and by our Literacy Tree “It’s Story Time” Song to explore the Story Nest.

Books are shared with the facilitator and left on display on the soft, red velvet “carpet” for parents and children to enjoy together throughout their museum visit. Books are chosen by the facilitator to help children make connections to their own experiences, to the sound and language of books, and to the big idea of the week at the Museum.

The responses to the stories from story time continue in the programming room to encourage children to talk, share, and think further about the stories through art connections.
